Type Testing
Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) provides Type Testing (TT) services whereby a client submits sample voluntarily for testing to determine the compliance of the product to the available standard.
The procedure for this process includes:
a) Submitting an application letter directed to the Director General enquiring for the service;
b) Providing quotation to a client for cost verification and after confirmation, the client is issued with a debit advice for payment;
c) Submitting sample for testing upon completion of the payment;
d) Testing of the sample is done in respective laboratory; and
e) Issuing of test report to the client after test results are out.
