The Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) provides testing services for a wide range of products including construction materials through its specialized laboratories. One of these services is Voluntary Product Testing (Type Testing), coordinated through the Type Testing Desk (TT Desk). The customers request are received through official letter or iSQMT portal which is accessible through the Bureau’s website.
Type Testing service enables manufacturers, contractors, suppliers, consultants, institutions and members of the public to verify the quality, safety, performance and/or compliance of products before use, supplied or placed into service like construction projects.
