Management System Certification

MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CERTIFICATION

In order for a customer to apply for management system certification, the following is the procedure to be adhered to:

1.Application

A client should send an application letter to the TBS Director General requesting for management system certification service. Applications can be sent via email through info@tbs.go.tz, postal address or by submitting to the nearby TBS office.

Upon receipt of the application, the client is provided with questionnaire to fill all the necessary information.

2.Application review

Application review is done through examining questionnaire filled by the client to determine location of the firm, number of workers at the firm and functions of the firm in order to establish the degree of conformance to the standard applied by the client.

Upon application review, the feedback will be communicated to the client accompanied with the costs for management system certification.

3.Stage I Audit

This stage consists of reviewing client’s management system documented procedures and processes against requirements of international management system standard.

4.Stage II Audit

This stage consists of on-site audit of activities in the firm to check conformity of the implemented quality management systems against the requirements of international management system standard, organization documented procedures and regulations.

5.Certificate granting

Upon compliance with the relevant management system standard, the client will be granted with a management system certificate which will be valid for 3 years from the date of issue.

6.First Surveillance audit

Surveillance audit will be conducted at least once per year to confirm effective implementation of the requirements of relevant management system standard.

7.Second Surveillance audit

Surveillance audit will be conducted within 12 months to confirm effective implementation of the requirements of relevant management system standard.
