Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS)

Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) wishes to inform importers, clearing and forwarding agents and the general public that with effect from 2026-06-21, all used motor vehicle spare parts, used bicycles, used mobile machinery and used trailers from the United Arab Emirates intended for importation into Tanzania shall be required to undergo inspection while still in the United Arab Emirates. This inspection shall be conducted in accordance with the Pre-Shipment Verification of Conformity to Standards (PVoC) procedure. A TBS authorised agent, namely EAA Company Limited, will carry out an inspection of these products in the United Arab Emirates.
